7050B subs placement

Hello,

I have installation for small club where I would like to use 2 x 7050B susbs together with 4030 speakers. My question is how could I calculate an optimal locations for the subs? What should be the cap with the subs?

calculating is hard, nobody does that afaik.

trial and error is what most of us do.

reversing positions, putting the sub in the listening position and crawling on the floor to find  a place where it sounds good is what you do at home.

you might want put them in the corners, this will give you the most volume.

Thanks for sharing Lukestar,

The problem with my space is its L-shape and coverage should naturally be all over.

Other issue is limitation of possible places for subs as there are lots of tables, chairs etc.

Yeah I believe the best might be just trying and crawling on the floor to find the place...

Dear Jukka

The closer to the wall, the better will be for the subs. In your case, since the area is L-shaped you should pay attention to the phase settings of both subs in order to avoid cancellation in level. In any way, you cannot expect miracles from such an area and definitivelly the subs from Genelex are a good choice due to their design. Yet, you should not expect extremelly high dBs. In case that you need high level, in my humble opinion, you should turn into a PA solution.

What are the dimensions of your club?
