G4 volume settings

I'm probably being embarrassingly stupid, but here's my problem…

Home set-up:

I am the lucky owner of a couple of G4.
These are connected with a Bluetooth streamer (Nokia MD 310 Wireless Music Receiver).
The media source is Spotify through an iPad.

All works like super well and has minimalist set-up.

Issue: The gap between muted and minimum sound is rather big. When we wish to have the music at its lowest level, it is still too loud in our opinion.

Question: How can I adjust / reduce the minimum volume at the loudspeakers?

Thanks.

Yeah, setting the volume only on an ipad is a bit iffy.
How about a simple monitor controller, like "Palmer Monicon" and several others.
Pretty cheap devices, usually the potentiometer goes bad after 5-10 years.
