Daisy chaining 8030b and 8020c

Youngling Posts: 18 Join Date: 1/1/16 Recent Posts
I have set up a 5.1 channel surround setup using 5 8030b and a pair of 8020c as a second set of surrounds for a second row of seating. Is it OK to daisy chain the 8020c to the output of the 8030b, I. E., will the levels be the same for both pair with the 8030 controlling the volume?

Also, is the signal passed to the 8020 before the dip filters of the 8030?

Thanks.

Hi,

The output connector is connected after the volume controller but before the dip switches.

Thanks. And finally will the output levels of the slave 8020 be the same as the master 8030 (not ultimate loudness but level within operating range)?

The manual says to set the slave (the 8020) at max volume and the master (the 8030) will control the volume of both. So my question is, by setting the 8020 at max and allowing the 8030 to control its volume, will both the 8030 and 8020 be outputting at the same spl?

Thanks.

Yes, sorry, I had wrong information before. The output connector is connected after the volume controller. Both 8030 and 8020 will have same level in this case.
