8351 rattles between 38Hz-50Hz

Youngling Viestejä: 0 Liittymispäivä: 19.6.2020 Viimeisimmät viestit

Hi! I love these speakers, but the left one *rattles* when hitting frequencies between 38Hz-50Hz.  I've attached a video demonstrating the issue.  You can feel the rattle happening when placing a hand on the speaker.

Any suggestions?

In my humble opinion, there is no problem from the side of the speaker. What you hear is the sweep. In order to understand if there is a problem with "rattles" you should measure the speaker, your room (some rattles may come from an item in the room) or take the speaker to the service. There they will check and measure it.

I'm having the same symptom with my left speaker, right speaker no problem.
I have done warranty claim twice & the SG Team 108 can't find any problem.

Genelec factory also can't find any problem when they receive the returned speaker.

For my speaker, I suspect it is due to my speaker position in my room, left speaker is position near to middle of my room thus when playing 38-50Hz the boundary effect causing rattling on the driver.
