How do folks solve switching settings without a computer connected?

I have a Genelec setup for my main home stereo. It sounds incredible! However I have one thing that'd be "nice" to do, but isn't strictly necessary - I'd like to be able to tweak some levels sometimes while I'm listening, but without having to have a laptop out, wired into the GLM network. It's not so much about fine-tuning, but rather switching between modes. I know the Genelecs are designed to be tuned flat (which I typically do), but sometimes when I'm listening to EDM or something really bassy, I want to intentionally flip it to a more bass-heavy, club-like mode with the subwoofer to be amped up. I've made presets in the GLM software, but the part that's cumbersome is getting my laptop, booting it up, connecting it to GLM (which causes a listening break as things get plugged in).

Clearly this is only a minor inconvenience, but I thought I'd raise it - ultimately I'd like the volume control remote like the 9101A, but with some preset buttons too. Or I assume a completely infeasible approach would be a mobile app or some kind of webserver if the GLM device could be on my network, with a local web / app controller.

I'm a programmer, so I could potentially mess around with something to try to do something like have the GLM software running all the time and make some kind of web interface, but as far as I know I'd have to do that with something that simulates mouse clicks and stuff, which is hard to do in a reliable way. APIs would be easier, so if there are any undocumented GLM APIs, or scriptable ways of running the GLM software, that could be a helpful direction to point me in too.

Again this isn't the end of the universe to not have this capability, but there might be others in this camp who use Genelecs for their main stereo, so I thought I'd see what others have done in this situation.

Answering my own question, I just found about this - it seems to be exactly what I want! https://www.genelec.com/9101b-wireless-volume-controller

You're idea seems brilliant, but I have bad news for you. As far as I got it right, changing profiles with that remote requires computer to be connected. Operating manual states: "The six-button remote the ‘’ buttons select the active group when the GLM software is running in the computer."

Dang, good to know though. Too bad multiple settings can't be stored onto the GLM Adapter. If I really want to do this then, I'll figure out if I want tiny windows/mac stashed somewhere within USB distance to the GLM Adapter. Thanks!

I was exactly looking for such a solution. In my case I want to switch between modes because I have a analog feed XLR from my AVR into my 5.2 8340 LCR and 8330 surrounds set up aided by 2 12" inch subs for multichannel/movies and in addition I have a digital feed AES from my Raspberry PI4, Topping D10s for 2 ch music.

My front LR 8340 already switch to digital automatically when there is a digital signal as pro and to analog when there is no digital signal. This is already working. But I was not sure if the measurents from analog group will be used for digital feed. I was under the assumption that I would need 2 different groups - one for analog feed and another one for digital.

Today I spoke to Genelec support and I was told that the monitor stores measurement of one group and this is applied for both analog and digital feed. I will do some more testing with a new measurement tomorrow as my GLM measurement currently was done in a hurry.

But I agree in your case with different bass requirements on different music genres, an option to switch groups without computer connected will be highly beneficial. Even I could also make use of this feature. Sad that to this the GLM software has to be always switched on in a computer. Wish Genelec develops such features via a APP and the monitors are connected between each other over WIFI instead of permanently connected via ethernet cable.
