Hello. I'm planning on buying 5x8330 + 1x7360. I have no idea how to connect this to my pc though so my games will see it as 5.1 system. I don't need any AV receiver all my decoding will be done in software. Cost is a priority and digital connection would be prefered.

Since cost is a priority, I would leave the expensive PC cards aside and I would buy an AV processor. You can find great pieces of 5.1 processors in low prices (older models) in case that you don't want to upgrade to more speakers. The signal could follow the path: PC --> AV processor --> Speakers.

Please see these simply as an example: https://www.marantz.com/en-gb/shop/avcontrolamplifier/av7005?status=discontinue It's a benefit that this processor has XLR outputs for driving the speakers effectivelly. You can find this as second habd in significantly lower price.

All you need is a audio interface that can turn out 5.1 signal over a COAX port. This don't has to be an external receiver, but a internal or external sound card (such as this one: https://www.ebay.de/itm/DAC-Decoder-USB-Sound-Card-Optical-Coaxial-Digital-AC3-DTS-5-1-Protection-/222175162403). So you can connect your 7360 and 8330s in a daisy chain, which meany you only need one cable per speaker instead of two.
