G Three with F 2

Hi,
When G Three has low bass dip switch, does it has any practical effect when G Threes are connected to the F2? I know the 85 Hz crossover, but I can hear even 55 Hz frequencies from G Three, but I don't know how many dB's they are decreased. There is no frequency-graph available for the combination G Three + F2.

Yes, it will add another filter. Start experimenting in the off position.
Don't know the filter slope of the 85Hz x-over, 18db maybe?
Anyway start setting dips on the sub, if any of the filters on the tops end up heling the the sound: go for it.
If you don't have a measurment microphone, you might try a frequency sweep to find out how your room responds.

We want same volume for all frequencies
20-100Hz are very difficult, need most work, above 500Hz we don't usually do anything.

Hi, thanks for your info actually found ideal setting by going back to "home". Which means I found positioning in my room where F2 is in corner and G threes are on sides (so the room is not symmetrical now). But F2 is now farther from listening position than G Threes. I used to have dimmed frequency around 73 Hz, but that is not problem anymore. I assume that this 73 Hz came from fact that when these all speakers were on same line, the distance was lambda/2 for 73 Hz, which is a little bit over 2 m. There is still a little boost around 55 Hz (which I think comes from the fact that both speaker F2 and G3 can cover that frequency with 0 db, correct me if I'm wrong). That 55 Hz doesn't bother me because it operates on kick drum and bass guitar lowest half octave. I like to listen on the lowest possible volume (because of my damaged ears), so it is good if 55 Hz kicks even on that volume level.

So I ended up in settings:

G Three: All off

F2: roll-off -2 db and volume a little bit (45 degrees) over that factory setting middle.

Sounds good!
I'd guess the boost at 55 is a resonant frequecy of the room. every room is a flute also.

Hi,
I don't know on what purpose treble -2 dB (in G3) was originally designed for, but I found a good use for that:
I changed my turntable cartridge to Ortofon 2M Bronze with has NudeFineLine stylus. I get a lot more details, and my ears recognised higher frequencies which are sometimes a bit harsh to my hyperacusis ear. If I read the table right, I think that -2 dB treble cuts down frequencies -2 dB from 8 kHz to 20 kHz.  The tweeter goes up to 25kHz, I assume that this dip can decrease those higher kHz even more?
But sounds more pleasant.

Yes this switch can be used for pleasure no problem.
In the Studio a slightly harsher sound can be an advantage because you need to put in more work to make it sound good.
At home you can do whatever you like ;-)
I'd assume it's a shelving EQ, should treat everything  from approx 10 to 25kHz the same.
