Hi Genelec,

We have a pair of Genelec Model: 8250As at our Studio in Dubai. We recently upgraded our Audio Interface to the UAD Apollo X6 and it has SPDIF Out. Is it recommended to use the SPDIF Out to be connected to the AES/EBU using the necessary cables ?

Will it make any difference to the overall setup and would you recommend to recalibrate using the GLM 4.0?

Regards,

Sri

Yes, use SPDIF to AES adapter.
If you used the speakers in analog mode before, you have to calibrate again if I remember correctly.
Other than that you could manually transfer the values between old and new digital GLM settings.
