Subwoofer for 4030

I have a pair of 4030 which I have set up on my desktop where I work with video, play games and music.
I've been thinking for some time if I should get a sub, and in that case, which one?

I do not require multichannel, only stereo.

From time to time I see some subwoofers on the second hand market, and I've been debating whether to jump on it or not. I've seen both F One, 7040 and 7050 frequent the market from time to time.

If you were on a budget, what would you consider to have good enough effect? The 4030's are on my desktop, less than a meter away from me.
