Best placement for 8341 or 8331 in untreated room?

Best placement for 8341 or 8331 in untreated room?

I'm getting a set of either 8331A or 8341A next week. My room is 10' x 11' (feet) with 12' high peaked ceilings. There is no treatment as there are doorways, archways, closets, etc. in the room. There is a bed behind me and curtains. I was planning on using these monitors as true nearfield monitors and placing them 3' apart on my desk and I'll be sitting at the equilateral triangle point for listening. The speakers will be about 6" from a wall behind them. I have little to no leeway for placement, except closer to the wall, or a few inches farther away from the wall.

Any thoughts on this situation? I listen at moderate levels and produce pop music.

The irregular shape of the room and the absence of options for speakers placement make your choice bad, at any case. Certainly the 8341 will be less space-depending speakers but they cannot work miracles! So, whatever your choice will be, the result will be random.
