I have been craving for new Genelec Smart monitors for very long time and finally invested in these beautiful 8330a along with GLM kit.

I was impressed with calibration and I do actually need some days of monitoring to get used to these babies! :)

One question here, so after calibration with GLM 4.1, do I simply disconnect the device if I saved the preset to the loudspeakers as preset?

Also how do you guys turn off? do you turn off and turn on with GLM app or by simply manually?

Thanks in advance!

Oh! also I see my music production room, I do seem to have critical dip around 80~100Hz.. but the adjustment does not seem to do dramatic boost... what do you guys do if this was your case? shall I boost manually or... shall I just leave it?

My room is fairly not too big. 4.3m x 3.6m x 2.5m high. Very lightly treated with side panels. No bass traps.

Just curious about how you all deal with calibration and how extremely you guys go for.

Q1: yes, you save the calibration to the speakers. After that you need to keep the speakers connected to the GLM adapter, connection to the computer is optional.
I let them turn off automatically with the ISS power saving feature, mine turn off half an hour after the computer shuts down.

Q2: Genelec doesn't boost frequencies, only cuts them. That's a more conservative stance than other room correction suits, but there's good arguments for that.
You can try a bit of boost in software, see if it works for you, but know that this will loose headroom on the speakers.
