Paring the 8030 with 7350

Hi folks,

Just got a pair of 8030 for home usage, and my god they are amazing.

But the low frequencies are kind of lacking for me; for movies and regular streaming music.

I keep them close to the wall and have played with the dip switches; all off it's kind of boomy; -2 seems to tame it decently well, at -4 and -6 it's even more.

So i am looking into the idea of supplementing them with a sub and I was looking at 7350 with the GLM kit to attempt to calibrate the bass to my room's issues.

I have an impression that the bass benefits most from corrections for my use case; not producing music, can live with certain inaccuracies in sound reproduction, but boomy bass ruins any pleasure from listening to music.

Based on what i was able to understand, the ideal paring would be 7350 with 8330, bc you get a perfect crossover between the speakers, but paring a 7350 with 8030 should also work, but the crossover between them is not going to be perfect, but i assume a -4, or a -6 might work well enough.

btw, genelec product team: too bad only 7360 (2k euro sub) can be paired with the analog series; tech wise i can't understand why; in the end the analog out from 7350 should be filtered based on what GLM measures, the dsp is there in the sub. :(

But I already have the 8030, which are way cheaper than 8330 where i am, so i'd like to use them if possible.

So is my understanding correct?

Is it worth cashing out for a 7350 or a 7050 would be enough/better?
Is it that important to use the 8330?

Thanks!
