8030A bass problem

Youngling Viestejä: 3 Liittymispäivä: 18.4.2017 Viimeisimmät viestit
Hello,
I bought used 8030A monitors, and after a sweep tone test I discovered that there is a drop in the bass starting from around 60 till around 100HZ. So the bass before 60 goes well but then it's a sudden drop in the volume. On both speakers. The dip switches are off. I have also new 8030B and they work well with the test.
What could be the problem? Electronics, callibration or woofer? Should I send it for repair? Is it repairable
Thanks

Hello,

8030A and 8030B are acoustically the same, so if you find differences between them, there could be something wrong. Do you have a microphone and could you measure the sinesweep with software such as Room EQ Wizard and compare with working and the faulty unit?

Please send the measurements to service@genelec.com. If not possible, please let me know where are you located and I'll give you information of your nearest Authorized Service to have your monitor checked and repaired.
