Hi friends!

I have a pair of 8351 in a 3x3 room.

The next level is an addition of a Sub to the system.

I know that the recomended subs for my pair of mains are the new 7370 or even the 7360...But....

I dont have enough space to put these models under my desk.

Here is my question: Can i work with two 7350 subs? All connected to my GLM 2.0 system?

For my enviroment, this will be the best option. Later i will complete the system with the center and surround channels. For now will be stereo only.

Hi,

Thank you for your questions! Unfortunately the 7350 does not work with 8351 monitors. It is recommended to be used only with 8320 and 8330 monitors. The 7350 is not a good match with the 8351.

Are you sure you don't have enough space? You can turn the 7360 on its side, which makes it only 462mm tall. Or if even smaller height is required, on its back which makes it only ~400mm tall (with some breathing space for the woofer). Please notice that you will need at least two 7360 units to have enough SPL headroom.

Hey Ilkka,

Do you know of a showroom in a major European city (preferably, Paris, Rome or London), or in New York City, where I can have a listen to the sonic difference between a pair of 8351s (which I own and loooove) with and without an added 7370 or 7360 subwoofer?

I know you can’t promote one dealer over another. But it is rare to find these subwoofers on display in a shop, so it would be really nice to know where I can go and listen to them.

If i can use the sub on its side, will be awsome! I have exactly 480mm from the floor to desk to put the sub or subs.

In my room i will need two subs? Is a 3m by 3m room well treated.

Hi,

Well, your main monitors are already quite capable on their own so you need to match the subwoofer(s) with them. They have approx. 8" of woofer area on each monitor so it is unrealistic to use only single 10" subwoofer with them. You need 2x 10" or a single 12" for adequate LF output.

Multichannel 3x 8350 and 2x 8340 would require two subs like 7271 or would the 7370 be just right?

There are a few things you have to consider... to keep up with the 8351's a 7370 would be a good solution, however given your small environment, a 7360 would work as you won't be working near the SPL limits of the 8351's.... unless you want to listen at extreme loud levels. The other thng to consider is how long will you be in this small room... if only short term then getting the bigger sub is a better long term strategy...

Does anybody know where in Europe, or New York City, a dealer will have the 8351 + 7370 combination on display, so I can have a listen to it?

7360 and 7370 subwoofers (and also 8340 and 8350) are going into production in the following weeks. We already have started to take orders in and the delivery time will be confirmed then.

Hi,

These new products are going into production in the following weeks so at the moment no dealer has stock or demo of them yet. You should wait a while until we get the production rolling and the demo systems up and playing.

I think i will go with 2 7360 for my system in stereo.

Later on i'll add the surrounds and center channel for the surround configuration.
