7040A vs 7050B

Hi,

what's the main difference between the two subwoofers? Only the size of the woofer and the number of inputs and outputs?

Which is the ideal for a pair of M030 in a small room (about 12 square metres)?

I'd like to buy the 7040A but it has only two inputs and outputs.
I got two M030 and I'm planning to buy another couple in the future to place behind my desk, 'cause my keyboard' stand is placed perpendicularly from it and when I play I hear the sound coming only from the left side.
So I'd like to know if it's possible to send the audio signal from the 7040A directly into my RME Fireface 802 and then send it to four M030 with Totalmix FX.

Hi,

7050B is larger and more capable subwoofer with 5.1 channel inputs and 5 channel outputs.

7040A is smaller subwoofer with 2 channel inputs and outputs.

Our recommendation for M030 is either 7040A or larger 7060B. 7050B is not compatible with the M030 speakers due to missing bass management function.

You can split the output signal to multiple speakers by using a simple splitter cable, please see this thread for more information: http://www.avsforum.com/forum/113-subwo ... ables.html

Hi,

thank you for the quick reply!
So I'll go for the new 7040A when it will be available :D

Btw, isn't it better to use a line splitter, instead of a Y cable with the sub out?
