So,

I bought a pair of Genelec 8050 about 2 years ago from my local dealer.

SInce then I've had to get them serviced 3 times. I've read that the problem is quite common, and that the issue is that the amp card blows.

Just a few weeks ago I had my right speaker on service for 2 over 2 weeks, and now the left one blew as well. This time there's no sound at all from the speaker.

Is this really something to expect from a 2800 € speaker? Starting to get REALLY frustrated and I'm considering to sell them and get something else.

I'm tired of having to drive them to my local dealer, and wait WEEKS to get them back, not being able to work properly during that time.

Can you also state where these units have been serviced earlier?

We would also need serial numbers of those units so that we can check their manufacturing date.
