Wired volume control for 5051A

I have 5051A subwoofer with couple of 8030A attached to it. No amplifier, thus volume control is in use. Unfortunately, the wireless volume control has never worked for me properly. It used to work randomly (after several presses, from very close range), but now I can't seem to get it work at all. I already changed the battery and tried re-pairing of the remote control and subfoower, but experienced no change at all.

Thus, since subwoofer seems to have an option for wired volume control, I was thinking if I could use it to solve my issue. I did not find any accessories that could be used with the product? 9000A or something else?

Note: The subwoofer was already check for potentially faulty circuit (see referenced forum post), but Genelec did not find any - instead, Link in was mentioned to be enabled. This should not be the case this time (only -6dB switched on)?

Thanks,
Juha

Hi,

There is an option for a wired system volume controller, it looks visually same as 9000A but it's a different product and they are not interchangeable. Please contact our service department at markku (dot) mykkanen (at) genelec (dot) com for pricing and availability.

I've tried contacting Markku Mykkänen already twice (26.7 and 10.8), but never got any response to my emails. Is he really the one and only who can sell this product? Any other contact that I could try out instead?

Thanks.

By the way, Markku just returned from holiday so he will probably reply to your messages, if already hasn't.

After getting contacted with Anne, the volume control was delivered quickly (got mine yesterday) - and is working nicely! Thank you.

So anyone having issues with wireless volume control, this might be a solution for you too.
