Are the new 8010 monitors a link bridging a gap between 6010s and 8020s? I'm looking for a 5.1 surround monitoring rig for a pretty small control room. No sophisticated mastering intended - just verification and proofing. The material is 90% theatrical/film content. I'd be grateful for your recommendations.

Hi,

8010 monitors do have better performance than the 6010s but then again 8020s are still a clear step ahead especially when it comes to bass extension and output. How big is your room and what is the listening distance to the LCR?
