7050 functionning question

Youngling Viestejä: 13 Liittymispäivä: 19.1.2014 Viimeisimmät viestit
Hello, I'm planning to buy a 7050 to complete my setup of two 8020. I plan to use it to check my bass cause I work on dance electronic music, but I won't be using it all the time (also for my neighbors i guess). So I'd like to know is there an easy way to desactivate the sub to hear only the 8020 and then easily turn the sub back on etc...
I saw that when installing the 7050 I would need to put the "bass roll off" on the 8020, does this mean if I want to hear the 8020 alone I'd have to 1-physically switch off the sub 2-access to the back of the 8020 and desactivate the bass roll-off? Thank you.

U mean right about having to first switch the sub off then reactivate the bass on the genelec if I want to hear them alone? If so it sounds like a boring procedure for a daily use I guess I should invest in 8040 rather. Or is there a way to use it "subtely" without having to turn it off if I don't want it to "destroy the walls"?

Yes, you may have to switch on or off again and again. I think using subwoofer is complicated, coz you have to calibrate the phase. I should have bought 8050 at least 8040. :(

7050 doesn't have an option for subwoofer by-pass mode. Models from 7060 and upwards offer this as an option.
