Replacing LED in a 8040A

Youngling Viestejä: 3 Liittymispäivä: 1.7.2012 Viimeisimmät viestit
Hey guys, I was wondering if opening a Genelec 8040A replacing a component and reassemble could damage the sound quality, and would it void the warranty?

The reason I'm asking is because I wan't to replace the green LED in the front of the monitor with a white one.

Cheers :)

Hi,

There are no user serviceable parts inside the speaker nor should one ever open up the speaker cabinet. It may damage the speaker permanently and will void the warranty. Please do not change the LED.

Roger that. Now that I think about it the LED on the 8040A can change color to red if it malfunctions. My white once can not.
