Using the 5040a volume control without the 5040a?

Youngling Viestejä: 1 Liittymispäivä: 3.4.2013 Viimeisimmät viestit
There is a volume control shipped with the 5040a that looks like the 9000a, but has only one 3.5" plug which connects to the 5040a. I was wondering if this volume control could be used (or easily modified to be used) independently like the 9000a, without the 5040a?

(I have a pre-amplifier for the 5040a + 6010a, but I would like to use the volume control with another pair of 8020a:s.)

Although the outlook of the two controllers is identical, the insides are different so they can't be used or modified to use across.
