8260A + 7270A for Hi-Fi

Hello Genelec users and experts.

I had a TacT Audio room correcting amplifier before this and I enjoyed every bit of the functionality.
I heard the Genelec's at a local showroom and I was impressed since it integrated 4 of my equipments into 1 unit. Most of my music will be sounding crap since the Genelec's are gonna sound the way they are...
I intended earlier to add a Tube Preamplifier but I would like to keep everything in the digital domain throughout the chain.
I would like plugins like a Tube Preamp or Tube Saturation to give a certain tone...

Can anyone let me know if they have done this or suggest a few ideas.... hardware/Software

Why does Genelec not have VST/AU plugin provision in their software.

Thanks

HP

I have dabbled in Tube AU's for the hell of it, but I would not consider using it all the time.
Crystal clear sound has always been my preference, and I had an analogue rig like that for decades before switching to all digital.
No doubt you could find some high quality plugins if that is your preference.

You imbed the VST or AU's in the player software, not in the Genelec software.
I used iTunes with Pure Music, as it takes AU's.

PS. Genelec 8260's hardly have a "sound", they just present what's in the track.

PPS You will probably find that you prefer your music without the veil of tubes once you realize how natural and undistorted it can sound. The level of detail will take some getting used to!
