Hi
i' m recently buy my new 5.1 system for my home i going to use 5 Genelec 6010A and 1 Active Subwoofer 5040A, but when i open all the boxes i realize that i had to use ans A/V receiver, so i was thinking to buy this one form Onkyo, TX-SR313 A/V Home Theater Receiver . and the i question come to my head.

This A/V receiver has powers outputs Front L/R: 65W/Ch Center: 65W Surround L/R: 65W/Ch and the 6010A are amplified.

What happen if i connected this speaker to this A/V?

or what kind of A/V you Recommend to connect my speakers?

Hi,

Basically you have two options:

1) You can use the TX-SR313 and ask a friend who is into electronics to make you these kind of cables, one for each speaker: http://www.genelec.com/faq/applicable-t ... r-outputs/

2) You can invest into an AV receiver which has multichannel pre amplifier outputs which can be used to connect active loudspeakers. For example this model from Onkyo: http://www.eu.onkyo.com/en/products/tx-nr717-80257.html

Finaly i got the Onkyo tx nr717, and i made all the connections so i can use all my speakers, and i turn on the Onkyo , and only two speakers work, central and subwoofer, i read the manual because i was thinking was a configuration problem, but i think everything is ok, at least i think that

any tips or advise to get this working..

I am guessing it could either be a connectivity or a configuration problem. First you need to make sure 5+1 cables are connected from the AV pre-out to the subwoofer. From the subwoofer you need to connect 5 cables to the speakers. Onkyo has a lot of settings but the most important ones are the speaker settings. You need to set all available speakers (Left main, centre, right main, left surround and right surround) LARGE and set the subwoofer on.

Do you have a friend who has been playing with these kind of systems and could visit you?
