Thank you for all the years of Community discussions and activity!

The time has come for us to retire the community forums, but we will keep everything available for reading. There is a lot of valuable content written over the years, and you'll be able to access all of that. However, no new posts can be written, or old posts modified.

If you have questions, we recommend you use the Support function on the bottom right corner to contact our Customer Support directly.

Alternatively, if you wish to engage in a community discussion with other people, there are many active forums available. There is also an active, fan managed GENELEC COMMUNITY in Facebook, and many Genelec employees are active in the discussions there.

We are sorry for any possible inconvenience this may cause you, but we hope to hear from you through the other channels mentioned above.

Genelec Ht210B Vs 1032A

Greetings from Rome, Italy.
I would like to ask you if there is any difference between these two speakers: the question could seem strange but in Italy there are some people who sell the Ht210B assuring that it is the new name for the 1032A: in other words the 1032A is renamed for the european market as Ht210B!
I believe that it isn't true. Could you help me?
Many thanks

Hello,

You are correct, HT210B is NOT the new name for the 1032A, they are different products. The HT series was mainly created for the USA and European home theatre markets in the late 90's. The B revision models (with some upgrades) came out in 2003. The acoustic performance is identical to the pro series (1031A, 1032A etc.), but they have a few differences, for example the HT series speakers have both XLR and RCA input connectors, and they also have an auto start/shut down function (newer than year ~2010 models do not have auto start function in Europe).
