Subwoofer to match a pair of Studer A3

Hello,

I am the happy owner of a pair of Studer A3 (produced by swiss based PSI Audio - similar specs than their own branded monitor A21-M, see specs. http://www.psiaudio.com/downloads/activ ... chdata.pdf). I used them as part of my project studio which configuration is based on Cubase 5 64 bits and a Yamaha DM2000. Music orientation is Rock / Pop / Jazz / Hip Hop.

I need some more bottom end and was looking at the 7060 / 7070 range for this. Knowing that the Studer are bi-amplified 100/50 W, I was am wondering which of the 7060 or the 7070 would best fit. I might upgrade in the future to more powerfull monitor (i.e. 8050A or 1032A).

Could you please advice me ?

Thanks in advance.

Hello GuillaumeF,

Based on the current monitor specifications as well as your possible future upgrades, I would recommend the 7070A subwoofer. It will support (max SPL wise) up to 8050A and 1032A monitors.
