do i need sub-woofer for my 8030a??

good morning sir,
now i am going to change my speakers from 6010a to 8030a's.
my room size is 5.5M*3.8M*2,7M (L*W*H)
i set up my sofa along with the 5.5M side.which means my listening distance is nearly 3 meters.
I mainly use the 8030a to see some movies and sometimes to use them listen some musics.
due to the room volume and refer to the suggestions you gave me before,
a pair of 8030a's seems not big enough to capable satisfy my taste.
but one of my firends said that i don't need sub-woofer bcz 8030a has sufficient bass
can carry on the bass re-production.
so may i ask is this really ok for me?

ur early reply would be highly appreciated :)

Hi Zephyr,

It is impossible for me to say whether 8030A has sufficient bass for you. :) It depends on you! I can say it has A LOT more bass when compared to 6010A, if that helps at all? I would start without a subwoofer and see how it sounds without a sub. You can always add one later on.
