I was told by one of a reseller that white Genelecs (8000 series) will discolour and become yellowish after some time. I am highly skeptical about this mainly because he is incentivised to say that; he doesn't carry anything in white.

Anyone can clarify this?

There is no valid background for this statement, our powder coat finishing is extremely resistant to colour/hue changes. White plastics are typically more problematic and may develop some yellowish hue if subjected to strong and longterm UV radiation. We have noticed this in some tweeters which have plastic adapter rings around them, for example 8x20 models. We have improved the manufacturing process with the part supplier and added UV stabilizer to the raw material which will help the plastic to reject any colour/hue changes even in abnormally high UV radiation.
