8030 Monitors with 7040 Subwoofer

hi, I have a small mixing room (10 feet x 11 feet, or 3,30mts x 3,64 mts x 2,70). It is well treated with bass traps and broadband plus diffusers.

I have a pair of 8030A monitors which I love, and I just bought a 7040 subwoofer, because of its size and price (with a room so small the bigger the sub the more acoustic problems I will have).

I know genelec recommends the 7040 sub only for the 8010 and the 8020.

My question is, what problems or incompatibility can I have if I use the 8030s with the 7040? Crossover problems? Power or volume problems? (Could they be calibrated vía their volume knobs?). Thanks a lot!

no compatability problems.

that said, 7350 would have been a better choice because it has room compensation.

no issue mixing it with non sam monitors.
