Genelec 7350 Flutter Noise

Hey Guys, I recently bought a used Genelec 7350 to hook up with my Genelec 8341's. I initially planned to get a 7360, but for the price of the 7350 I figured I would take the chance on a smaller subwoofer.

After getting the sub calibrated with the monitors via the GLM software I was absolutely blown away with the sound. The sub integrates seamlessly with the speakers.

Now the question. I'm very happy with the results I'm getting, but I have noticed that if there is a very low frequency (25hz-30hz) being played you can hear a fluttering noise. I'm assuming this noise is from the woofer moving back and forth. Is this normal? Should I expect some noise from such a low frequency or is there something wrong with the sub?

Thanks in advance,

No, that sound is abnormal.

But before concluding the sub is faulty, eliminate the possibility it's generated from impact by placing a rubber pad under the sub; a thin sheet usually placed under rugs to prevent slippage.

My pair of 7360 shook my hardwood floor unpleasantly in very low frequencies, until I apply said solution.

Good luck!
