Mixing digital SAM 8330 and analog 8030

I would like to pimp up my theatrical 5.1.2 SAM enviroment

digital 3x8341 (LRC) 4x8330 (CeilingL,CeilingR, SourrL,SourrR) 1x 7350 (LFE) in a SAM GLM 3.0

30qm

with more of my old analog 8020 /  8030 and a 7050

from a 5.1.2 to a      7.2.4

any idea how to loop through from the digital 8330 (CeilingL,CeilingR, SourrL,SourrR) to anlalog 8030

or from my 7350 to an additional 7050 ?

Thx

i think it would be easiest not mix analog and digital.

i.e. use your new speakers in analoge mode.

or sell older gear and go all digital using GLM remote for volume control.

that being said, i recommend you also try 2 big speakers instead of many small ones.

1237 speaker is very cheap right now and so much better for stereo in a room your size.

Great idea - all analog - but maybe you are right to stick with digital.

Btw the 1237A i found minimum 4000€ each - unfortunatly over budget - or is there another price out?

Best

i've seen 3700.- sans vat.

well, several 8341 and 8330s aren't cheap either.

i can only speak for myself, but going to 1x37s was my best upgrade ever. for months now, the wow has not worn off.

haven't had that with any other system and i have 8351s too.

more pricesiley, the 8351s obliterate the 1x37 on short distance, the same way 1237s destroy 8351s in a larger room.

have them in my home cinema, now i find myslef listenig to music may more often than watching.

i don't think you necessarily need a sub in 1x37 scenario.

if you can audition them, maybe less but bigger speakers is also the way to go for you.

Thx lukester,

Probably you are right - i tested the 8351 against the 8341 - and found that the 8341 are with more power then the older 8351 - which are probably better for nearfield.

My Sub 7350 on the other Hand is to weak for the 30qm - so it might make sense to go with larger all range 2037

Bigger is Better - if you are leaving the nearfield league

Best and Thx

bigger is better... seems very true.

i might get myself really big 1034s for my living room if i can find a good used pair.

yeah, the 7350 won't make much sense with 1237,

you can do 2x7270 (dirt cheap used) or 4x 7360 if you get really, really bored.
