Horizontal mode 1038A

Hi there I have just got my hands on some old 1038A from my brothers studio. Now I want to try the horizontal mode where the Tweeter and Mid Driver gets flipped 90 degrees. I have taken all screws out on the front but the metal cast plate seem locked in there and it doesnt move. My question do I have to take the backplate off for this. I tried to look in the manual and there was no info on this unfortunenatly.

Many thanks

Edit: Ok had a look from behind by pulling the Amp unit out not much luck there as it's fully enclosed.

Any ideas for getting the front metal cast out?

2nd Edit: Ok so I managed. For other people trying this with old Genelecs. As they are old the rubber lining between cabinet and metal frame had turned a bit sticky and gluey over the years. So the trick I did leave a couple screws loosely in to hold the metal frame when it dislodges put a screw driver in one of the top holes for screw and lift up. Now tmake sure you have something to place the metal frame on handy as the leads ar fairly short.

removing the screws an flipping the unit drivers down, on a carpet or sofa, has worked for me.
