8020D vs 8030A / B Volume?

Does anyone have any real world experience of the volume difference between the new 8020D and the older 8030 models such as the A and B?

They all fall at the 100db rating with the 8020D is rated as 50w + 50w and the 8030's as 40w + 40w.  They also have fairly similar frequency ranges.

Does this mean in real terms there isn't much difference between the new 8020D and the older 8030's?  Or am I missing something obvious?

amplifier ratings have more to do with headroom than volume.

differences between A, B... are very small, adding features while maintainig sonic character might be a way to put it.

within the same series, you always want the speaker with the bigger driver.
