M040 Power Issue

Today I tried to turn on my M040s after a few weeks having not used them but neither one will power on. Is this a known issue? They were bought in January 2015, so I would assume these are not the same batch that people had similar problems with in 2014. It seems like something strange has happened since both must have failed in a similar time period, but I can't source that to anything on my end (for example, everything else plugged into the same extension lead/mains is working perfectly fine). I've tried a different fuse in the plug (no dice) and also a different 3A 250V power cable, which similarly didn't work. Is this a known issue, and is there anything that can be done short of sending them off? Hopefully the extended warranty period will cover it if that's necessary...
