8010 bass distortion/cuts out

Hi all,

About a year and a half ago, I purchased a pair of 8010's.  The left one has had some issues with bass frequences, if the volume is pushed even a little.  Recently, the problem has gotten worse, to the point that if the bass distortion is repeated, the monitor will crackle and cut out completely.

I've tested different cables, etc. and it doesn't appear to be the problem.

Any ideas about what might be causing this?  It's still under warranty.

Thank you for any help!
