8020DPM outputs regular snap while losing audio

Hi, i have a pair of 8020DPM connected to an RME babyface pro. It has been
working seamlessly since i got them about a month ago but i started getting a
weird issue since i connected to the babyface a synth expander. As soon as it
is connected to the soundcard (jack or xlr) and even not powered on (but with
power cord in the socket), a regular snap is coming out of one speaker (not
both) while the audio is cut. I would appreciate if you can have advice here.
Thank you very much.

Hi Nicolas,

I'm sorry to hear about the problem. To make sure that the issue is not in the Genelec monitor, you can switch the monitors positions to see if the noise always come to the right/left side or always in the same monitor.

If the issue is caused by the synth expander, I would recommend to reach the manufacturer customer support, as it may be possible that there is something wrong with it.

Best Regards,
