Cleaning drivers

Youngling Posts: 3 Join Date: 10/20/19 Recent Posts

Hi all,

I just bought some  8331.  The lack of grill and the natural dust accumulation in the concentric drivers worries me.  How do you clean it?. I don't want a layer of dust (my environment is very clean, but still) on the drivers in the long term.

And, is there any grill or something to protect the drivers, somehow something like the grills of passive speakers?.

Best,

I use any type of cloth without being particulary careful.

midtone drivers arent particulary sensitive.

Treble drivers are, that's why they have a grille. blow on them if you like. not for hours at a time.

Hi,

thanks for sharing.

Do you think a blower like this would be safe for mid driver and tweeter?

absolutely safe. Not sure wheter it's stong enough to move any of the dust.

the microfiber cloth is also good advice.
