Sensitivity of different models in a 5.1 setup

I’ve put together a 5.1 system of old and new monitors. Now I’m puzzled on how to get the same sensitivity on all monitors.

They are all connected to a AV8802a.

my setup:

front left and right:

8020b

center:

8020d

surround left and right:

8010a

subwoofer:

7050b

How do I set the same sensitivity of all those different models with different ways to do this?

Hi there,

I checked the manual, and it seems that this AV8802 comes with the measuring microphone, and therefore easiest way to do this would be doing the calibration with the microphone. When doing the calibration with the Marantz, the pre-amplifier will automatically match the sensitivities of each monitor, and you do not need to touch the sensitivity potentiometers on the monitors on this case.

If you need further information, I would recommend first to check the manual:

If you have any other questions or concerns, let us know and we are glad to help further as well.

Thank you very much for the answer.

I was afraid that if the sensitivity were different, the preamp would adjust volume differently on each monitor. Glad to know it is as simple as doing the calibration.
