Hi there,

 

Recently I got a chance to buy a pair of Genelec 8030c speaker form a friend of a friend, I have the serial number with me:

8030CP21115580 

8030CP21115556

1, could you please help me to take a look, when is the made date, and are they still under warranty? 

 

2, And about buying used Genelec speaker, could you please let me know some instructions to check or test it?

The manufacturing date is correct. so they can't be out of warranty.

it's 2 year minimum, 5 years if you register.

Yes, these speakers are notorious for not needing servicing.

Detecting problems:

if the sound stage left right is normal, you can't have a problem.

To be super certain, you'd run frequency sweeps. You can do a sweep slowly, manually from your mouse and train your ears at the same time.

There's free tone generators that run in-browser.

If nothing shakes or distorts, you're good.
