8430A IP -AES67/Ravenna- how to play from macOS or Win10 direct to speaker

Hi, I am considering the 8430A IP but would like to understand how to play directly from macOS Catalina and Windows 10, direct to the speakers over the network (AES67/Ravenna).

Where are the macOS/Windows drivers?

Will macOS/Windows just see the speakers over the network like a soundcard, without any other software required?

Hi! The 8430A does not present itself on the network as a soundcard and there are no drivers needed or available. You need to run a virtual soundcard on your computer to be able to stream audio to the speakers and you need a network switch in between to form the network for the devices. Merging Technologies have a virtual soundcard software that can be used.
