G Series preamp recommendations

Hi all,

I'll soon be purchasing a pair of G4s or G5s and am wondering if anyone can recommend a preamp/sub-mixer for them? I will need to input CD/DVD, phono, 1/8in. mini, and TV. I've been looking at preamps by Parasound, Rotel and others. And, would a line mixer work, such as those made by Rane, etc? Or, would a traditional (powered) receiver work as well? I'm not sure if a powered receiver could work given that the Gs are active. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
