Hi,

Although it's not recommended, is 7040A compatible with 8030C?

I wasn't able to find the answer anywhere, thanks in advance.

Hello, Takato!

Even though 7040A is designed to be used with 8010 and 8020 speakers it is also compatible with 8030C speakers.

Thanks for the prompt reply!

Is there any downside of using this with 8030C?

The room is a typical bedroom size and I use my monitors relatively quietly.

Thank you.

The downside is that 8030C and 7040A won't have matching maximum SPL. If you aren't usually listening loudly, your room is not very big and you place the subwoofer near wall or in the corner, then 7040A can be enough for you.

Again, thank you for the helpful info!

It seems like 7040A will be my choice then. I appreciate your quick reply.
