Hi,

I'm an audio software developer + electronic musican.

I need to update my monitor setup and have been thinking GLM setup:

2x8341 and one 7360 sub or

2x8341 and two 7350 subs or

something else

My room size is W3,8m, D5m, H 3m (57m3). Do you have any opinion which setup should I choose?

I have already read these:

https://www.genelec.com/correct-monitors

https://www.genelec.com/monitor-placement

https://www.genelec.com/calibration-acoustics

My current setup is 2x 1029A + 2x 1091A

Thanks.

Can’t tell you about the 7360 but I have two 8341 and two 7350A - it’s an excellent combo.

Having two sub sources is generally going to provide more accuracy.

i’ve found translation to be excellent.

You can check the expected result by using REW and the room simulator in it. I entered your room dimensions, a typical placement of yours in the front wall and you are going to have cancelations at (almost, depending on final placements of the speakers and listener): 50, 80 and 150 Hz. With several placements options, it seems that the cancelation (called mode) of 50 Hz it's going to be the most difficult to tame. Check the REW for yourself. Or ask a Genelec dealer. I would prefer the 2 7350 for the increased versatility you are going to have.
