Cloud calibration fails with the attached error note. I tried several times, restarted the software and even the PC while trying, always the same error. I just installed GLM4 on a PC that has also GLM3 installed, can this cause issues? I haven't tried with local calibration files installed, yet.

As HW I have a Win10 PC with 20H2 updates, a pair of 8260A's and a 7380A sub.

Also, as seen from the attached screenshot, the scaling is quite blurry on a 4k display + PC, but this may be a feature of Windows :).

Installation on PC W10 Pro 1909 was fine.  Big Sur I had to jump through the hoops of enabling because the installer must not be registered.   Like the software, long time coming however grateful.

This forum is awful as an issue tracker... One way this might be made to work would be setting up a separate issue tracking category (not just a thread) for each release and very strongly emphasizing the need to create a new thread with a well-defined subject for each new issue. Posts would also need to be acknowledged/updated by devs (or at least customer support) when noticed, verified, worked on, fixed and finally when the fix is released - or at least when the post has been forwarded to devs and when the fix has been released.

I really tried following the GLM4 beta issue thread, but quite soon the forced threading made it very difficult to find any updates. Participation from Genelec's part was nonexistent; You could do better. The community is a huge resource, but expects being acknowledged for its efforts.

I tried to sign in with GLM4 and it failed every time. I double checked the login details and used them to login here and they're definitely correct.

Out of interest, should we uninstall GLM3 once it's installed? Or can they exist side by side? I noticed that if they're both running at the same time there's definitely issues - found the speakers were automatically going to sleep all the time.

I'll do some more testing soon.

Is it recommended to re-calibrate? Is the calibration improved?

slayeri is facing the same issue I had with every beta version I tested. I reported it every time via support or beta questionare. Haven't had opportunity to test the production version yet.

I understand it's difficult to investigate issues with device units that aren't physically available for debugging. That would require customer to send those back to the factory so that the software team would have full access to test the sw with those. Not the most pleasant thing to do for the end user though.

I didn't have these issues with GLM3 and its cloud optimization. So the problem most likely exists in GLM4 or the cloud version it's using (if it differs from the one that GLM3 uses).

Why not create a bug questionare like there was one for beta stage or even a board/project in some ticketing system (Jira etc.)? I think the community really wants to help. It's a powerful asset, not every company in the world has this kind of communality available.

I'm unable to download because our network filtering doesn't allow the link-tracking Genelec is using to collect our personal data for the download.

For me GLM 4 (installed with autocal) is unusable in Windows 10.

- The speaker icons are blinking every second and it seems to loose constantly loosing contact to the 8300 interface.

- I use an external potentiometer and the volume adjustments with it are delayed several seconds. (Only with GLM running, using it "standalone" it still reacts normally)

I immediately uninstalled GLM 4.0 and when I tried to use GLM 3.2 again it also constantly lost contact to the 8300 interface. The volume display toggled between "External Potentiometer" and "-120 dB" about every second. Only when I also uninstalled Autocal GLM 3.2 became useable again.

In addition, next bug: Standard Loudness Calibration crashes after clicking "Start Calibration", no matter which profile group is active.

- When I start MacOS Mojave 10.14.6 the GLM software doesn't remember the group preset and goes back to the one that was active when I last saved. I use 3 presets in 1 group.

- The wired remote (9310AM) jumps from -130dB to approx. -97.5dB, there's nothing in between.

Apart from that I'm absolutely happy with version 4, and the Genelec speakers of course. J

-There is a short crack sound when I change profile with analog input to another profile with digital input(It's fine from digital to analog)

-max volume setting is missing from GLM4, almost blow myself up.

I went back to GLM3 for safety reason. Hope there will be individual volume max settings on different profilie soon for GLM4.

Can someone provide a direct download link for GLM4? I can't get through the link tracking.

Two enhancement ideas:

1) Holding down the volume controls on the remote causes volume to be changed at insane speed. Maybe three seconds from zero to max. Maybe the acceleration with on hold could be a little bit slower?

2) Would there be a way to store at least some profiles on the GLM adapter itself? It would be nice to be able to change between profiles without computer being attached, at least for a home user like me. I have written a short post about this to my blog (https://jb1c.blog/2021/02/02/genelec-glm-in-the-living-room/).

Are there any other improvements besides the appearance and the multi speaker management, e.g. improved calibration algorithm or something like this? So is it worth while updating when operating a simple two speaker set up?

What are the main benefits if I am not mixing with it? So far I have a rather stable room cal and don't really want to mess with it if I won't be using the extra eq features?
