Thank you for all the years of Community discussions and activity!

The time has come for us to retire the community forums, but we will keep everything available for reading. There is a lot of valuable content written over the years, and you'll be able to access all of that. However, no new posts can be written, or old posts modified.

If you have questions, we recommend you use the Support function on the bottom right corner to contact our Customer Support directly.

Alternatively, if you wish to engage in a community discussion with other people, there are many active forums available. There is also an active, fan managed GENELEC COMMUNITY in Facebook, and many Genelec employees are active in the discussions there.

We are sorry for any possible inconvenience this may cause you, but we hope to hear from you through the other channels mentioned above.

What external soundcard (etc.) for 8320

Hey guys! Moi!

I'm buying a pair of 8320's for my tiny wardrobe home officee. What external soundcard and other equipment do you recommend?! Please no products that only come in red - black-grey-white are my colors :).

ALL tips are welcome!

(Extra points for solutions and tips for audio cards to connect my electric guitar)

No, I don't, on the cheap end I usually recommend focusrite which are very red.

But maybe I'll find you one, if you tell me how you like your 2020 version. I only just upgraded to 2018.12.
Look at my attachment if you're justifiedly confused now ;-)

120.- Native Instruments Komplete Audio 2
150.- Steinberg UR22C
200 SSL 2
240 Audient iD14 MKII
700 RME Babyface

I think I'd go with the Steinberg or Audient one.
Drivers might crash 1-6 times a year on the cheaper ones, never on the RME

Cool, do note that the main point of UAD hardware is to be able to run their plugins.
Their drivers (or possibly only their pci-e hardware) seem to be a bit problematic, have 2 friends who are both pretty pissed off with theirs.
