Can I use an older GLM 8200-601c Microphone Kit with the recent GLM 4 SW?

Hey Folks, I picked up some 8240a's and was wondering, could I buy an older GLM kit and use that with the most recent software? I'm running the latest OS X (Big Sur). Also is there any significant difference between the older GLM kits (ie the 1.4.x kit 8200-601c) and the newer ones (in terms of performance)?
