Dear Genelec engineers,
Let me take the time to say that from my point of view you done a terrific job in improving GLM. You have improved all the areas where myself and quite a few others had detected some flaws, and you have addressed all this in one major upgrade.
Positive gain has had a major impact on my system in the 100hz region.
All harshness in the high frequencies have now disappeared without me manually tweaking anything.
Extended phase linearity have vastly improved the stereo field, room ambiances and reverb are now immensely easier to hear !!
This is amazing work and ads tremendous value to our investments.
Thank you !!

Big +1 !

Genelec could have easily called this version GLM 5 :-)

The new Autocall algorithm is so clever, together with the possibility of adding some postive gain transfered my 8351B set-up by a hugh amount !

Exactly as Emmanuel mentioned, all harshness dissapeared within one push of the button.

THANKS.

Couldn't agree more. I just bought 2x8331As and a 7350A, and calibrated them with GLM 4.0 which I already had installed, thinking it was the latest version. Then after a couple hours of listening, I noticed that GLM 4.1 had come out. I sighed and installed 4.1 and recalibrated. I don't know how to describe the difference, but it was incredible. The sub was tighter somehow and more seamless with the mains. Fantastic work, and keep it up!

Enthusiasm and kudos for Genelec and GLM is bursting my brain every day.

I've been using (2) 8341 since May this year with GLM and rotary volume control.  Analog input from SSL Six, AES input from Lynx Hilo TB3, Mac Mini M1.

My room is untreated and terribly reflective. Appox.16'x16'x25' high, vaulted loft, asymmetric.

According to the GLM mic I very rarely go over 90dBSPL and is usually more like 78-84.

I would consider trying (2) 7350B when and if they make it, I don't want one sub, and (2) 7360 isn't practical for me.

I have my Ones plunked down on a coffee table in the middle of the room, on either side of a 27" IPS.  Typical listening position is 3' away. They are max. tilted up on the IsoPods.  I use them for anything and everything that requires a monitor loudspeaker(s) every day, including weak noisy local AM radio on weekdays from 9AM-3PM.   No kidding.  No hesitation - for the size, they *were* the most coherent loudspeakers I have ever heard in an untreated space.  Price is not a factor in that they are the best smallest nearfield I have ever heard in an untreated room regardless of cost, and I have listened to a lot of speakers over the years at trade shows and factory/distributor demos, etc.

Since the first few hours of listening to my 8341 in May, I knew I was going to keep them.  I was so unprepared for how well they perform way up close.  Weeks in I was using the Profiler more and more to roll off HF, it was usually better to my ears to use it than not, regardless of the source.  All of my calibrations used a max. of 5 notch corrections no matter how many times I adjusted the monitors or the microphone.

I was satisfied with the Profiler HF roll off in 4.0, now I don't need to use it.

Hopefully Genelec will announce and release 7350B with class D amplification and push-button power.

Thank you Genelec!

Hi together, after the praise about GLM 4.1 I tried this version. I got updates for my 8351B and for the adapter. But while the update on the 8351B counts up the version, it’s not on the adapter. I got always the Update Button, after clicking I got the message that the firmware is actually. When I do the update, the update is progressed successfully but the version is still the same. My adapter firmware version is 0.0.0.0.1.2.1.4167 4167. Can somebody confirm that this is the actual firmware version for GLM3 adapter? And has somebody else this strange behavior?

No one any idea for this update behavior concerning the adapter?

Hi Nachjos, fyi this was reported onto the forum before. No 'official' feedback to the post neither.

And yes same effect here fw 4167 while the status of the adapter mentions an update.

Monitors and subs updated without any problem.

Thank you for the reply, so I am not the only one. Probably somebody from Genelec could clarify?
