Hi,

I record guitars, keyboard and synthetizer in my home studio and  i would like to buy a small pair of monitors

I have a RME UFX as a DAC and would like a nice quality monitors to rely with.

The monitors will be set next to the laptop in front of me on a table , so i will be maximum 1 m of the sound

I saw the 8010 AP/ 8020 DPM/ 8320 APM/  8030 CP but would like some help to choose between them : what are the main differences? in sound quality? 8010 are sufficient?

bass frequencies are better with a bigger speaker?

bigger the better or not mandatory?

Thanks for your answers

Alex

Hello Alex, the bigger is better :) The 8030 is the best pair, verified by the measurements of Genelec. Please note that 8320 is different than the rest, it performs best with GLM kit and allows for digital signal processing.

8030 combined with 7050 subwoofer will do the job excellent :)

and if i take the 8030 why not the 8040 , because it s bigger and if i take the 8040 why not the 8050 cause it s better ? x))))                                                                                   I just want to know if i could use them at 1 m distance without being deaf , because they have 100 W i think :D    or if it s better in my case for near field mixing, smaller speakers?

thanks for your answers
