Safe to power down speakers while in ISS?

Hi,

I have my studio gear wired to a single power switch, including my two speakers (8340A). I usually power everything up in the morning, and let ISS put my speakers to sleep when I'm not using the studio.

If my speakers are on when I'm about to turn the studio off, I power them off manually (using the power button on the back of the speaker) to avoid any eventual pops/spikes that my mixer might do when it is then powered off using the external power switch.

However, if my speakers are already sleeping (due to ISS), I just flip my power switch off directly. Powering down all of my gear at once. There are no pops from the speakers when I do this, so I have figured it to be okay? (It comes the extra benefit of my speakers turning back on the next time I power on my studio using the power switch).

So my question is, is it okay to power down my speakers using an external power switch while they are sleeping/off due to ISS?

Hi,

It is perfectly okay to do so, no problems at all.
