8330A never going into Standby

Hi,

I can't get my speakers to go into standby mode. I am using the GLM software (ver 2.1.0) and have set the sleep timer to 10 minutes and stored the setting to the monitors. The monitors are connected using the digital in from a SOtM USB Audio 2 from my PC.

Thanks

The monitors should go to sleep then (in 10mins) after the signal from the source(your usb interface or soundcard) has been shut down. There are no dip switches on the 8330A so the only thing that it could be are that you still have your usb interface powered up or the PC still on. After you close the GLM software + the signal source the ISS should turn on after chosen time, if not then its out of my league. I guess the signal should also disappear if you choose some other playback device from your computer(headphones etc) via the computers own soundcard.

Hi,

Can you please check if ISS works if you unplug the signal cables? If it does, it tells you that the computer is sending out digital signal (silence) all the time which prevents the monitors from entering the ISS state.
