Genelec 7050B - transformer hum/buzz?

Hi,

I have recently noticed a faint hum/buzz coming from my 7050B subwoofer (model 05/2013). The sound does not come through the actual speaker, but seems to be from within the unit; sounds like a transformer hum/buzz. It usually starts a few seconds after power on and is initially quite faint, but if the unit is on for several hours, it appears to be louder than at power on.
The sound is there also when all XLR-cables are unplugged.
Is a transformer buzz/hum normal for this unit or shall I have it checked by service?
Regards

HI Nerva,

Small amount of transformer buzz is perfectly normal and does not affect the sound quality in any way. Typically strong DC offset in mains voltage will emphasise this phenomenon.
